Carton Group Acquires Innovative Packaging Solutions Provider Europoligrafico
Majority-owned by Waterland Private Equity, Carton Group (Bavaria / DEU), a group of companies specializing in the production of packaging and folding cartons, acquires Europoligrafico (€59.3 million of revenue in 2022, Veneto / ITA), a supplier of innovative packaging solutions for the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and general consumer products sectors. As part of the transaction, the founding family of Europoligrafico will reinvest as a minority shareholder in Carton Group. With this acquisition, Carton Group increases its capabilities and takes a step forward in its strategy to create a multinational network of customer-oriented packaging specialists.

SK Capital Acquires Manufacturer of Water-soluble Biodegradable Films Ecopol
SK Capital announces the acquisition of a majority stake in Ecopol (€28.9 million of revenue in 2021, Toscana / ITA), a company that produces and markets water-soluble biodegradable films used in various industrial applications. As part of the transaction, the existing minority investor, Tikehau Capital, will continue to hold a stake in the company. In addition, the current CEO, Mauro Carbone, will retain a significant stake and continue to lead the company. Thanks to its differentiated sector expertise and solid experience in the North American market, SK Capital is the ideal partner to support Ecopol in its ambition to become the world’s leading provider of biodegradable film solutions.

Agilitas Sells Wastewater Treatment Solutions Supplier Hydro International
A shareholder since 2018, Agilitas Private Equity announces the sale of its majority stake in Hydro International (ᆪ4.9 million of revenue in 2021, South West / ENG), a supplier of products, services and technologies to treat wastewater and control stormwater for the municipal, industrial and construction sectors. Hydro International joins Oldcastle Infrastructure (Georgia / USA), a provider of precast materials for the technical construction sector.

Fondo Italiano d'Investimento Closes FITEC II at More Than €137 Million
Fondo Italiano d’Investimento announces the first closing of Fondo Italiano Tecnologia e Crescita II (FITEC II) at more than €137 million. Aiming for a target size of €250 million, FITEC II, like its predecessor, aims to support the development plans of Italian technology SMEs, with particular attention to companies operating in IT and digital transformation, industrial innovation, and energy and environmental transition.
