Archipel Academy Acquires Springest from Studytube

Minority-backed by Pride Capital Partners, Archipel Academy (c. €100 million of revenue in 2022, Gelderland / NLD), a learning platform allowing companies to offer training courses to their employees, acquires brand rights and employees of Springest (North Holland / NLD), a platform for comparing courses and training programs. The acquisition was made from Studytube (North Holland / NLD), a learning platform allowing companies to consolidate, improve and manage their learning and training offers. Archipel Academy will benefit from Springest’s professional team, its diversified offers and its presence in Germany, the United Kingdom and Scandinavia to expand its market. As a reminder, Studytube is present in the portfolio of Verdane Capital, Vortex Capital Partners and Henq Committed Capital.

Circularity Capital Invests in Carbon Emissions Management Solutions Provider CEMAsys

Circularity Capital announces a growth capital investment in CEMAsys (Eastern Norway / NOR), a provider of SaaS solutions and consulting enabling companies to easily and effectively manage their carbon emissions as well as their ESG strategy. This investment will enable CEMAsys to accelerate its product roadmap and its international expansion.

Carlyle Sells Oil Producer Assala Energy

The Carlyle Group announces the sale of its majority stake in Assala Energy (£41.9 million of revenue in 2022, London / ENG), an oil exploration and production company operating in Gabon. The company has been taken over by Maurel & Prom (c. €630 million of revenue in 2022, Île-de-France / FRA), a company specializing in the extraction and production of oil and natural gas. As a reminder, Carlyle acquired Assala Energy in 2017 and helped it increase its production and the duration of its oil reserves.

Angeles Equity Partners Announces the Closing of Angeles Equity Partners II at $540 Million

Angeles Equity Partners announced the closing of Angeles Equity Partners II at $540 million, exceeding its initial target of $500 million. The fund was subscribed by a diverse group of institutional investors from North America, Europe and Asia. It will continue the strategy of his predecessor by investing in North American industrial companies. It should be noted that Angeles Equity Partners II has already invested in four companies, namely: Agile Occupational Medicine, Precision Surfacing Solutions, Data Clean and Custom Goods.
