Backed by Equistone Partners Europe, Heras (North Brabant / NLD), a company which designs, manufactures, installs and maintains perimeter protection solutions including fences and doors, acquires BA-KRO (Berlin / DEU), a company specializing in installation and maintenance of high security electronic and mechanical perimeter protection systems for critical infrastructures. With the acquisition of BA-KRO, Heras strengthens its high security expertise, improves the efficiency of its services and expands its presence in Germany.

Ultrasonic Scalpel Developer Nami Surgical Raises £3.2 Million

Nami Surgical (Greater Glasgow & Clyde Valley / SCT), a technology company specializing in the development of miniaturized ultrasonic scalpels for Robotic Assisted Surgery (RAS), enabling improved accuracy and safety of surgical procedures by providing better dexterity and visualization for the surgeon, raises £3.2 million from Investment Fund for Scotland (IFS) (managed by Maven Capital Partners), with participation from Eos, SIS Ventures and Scottish Enterprise. The funding will be used to fuel Nami Surgical’s growth and expansion.

Brightstar Capital Partners announces that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PlayAGS (Nevada / USA), a company that designs and provides products and services for the gaming industry, particularly in the slot machine, table and interactive gaming segments. Following this transaction, valued at $1.1 billion, PlayAGS will be well positioned to make targeted investments in R&D, talent, operations and innovation to accelerate its global presence.

Abris Capital Partners announces the sale of its entire stake in Scanmed (Lesser Poland / POL), a company providing medical care services to individual patients and companies, to American Heart of Poland (c. PLN1.17 billion of revenue in 2022, Silesia / POL), a company operating a hospital network specializing in cardiology, angiology and cardiac surgery in Poland. As a reminder, Abris Capital Partners invested in Scanmed in November 2020.
