Econox Acquires Air Conditioning Solutions Provider MaxiCool
Owned by Nordian Capital Partners, Econox (c. €35 million of revenue in 2023, North Brabant / NLD), a group that manufactures and supplies air treatment and ventilation systems, acquires MaxiCool (Limburg / NLD), an air conditioning and refrigeration solutions provider, offering a diverse range of products and services, including air conditioning units, heat pumps and related accessories. With the acquisition of MaxiCool, Econox strengthens its leading position in the European market for air treatment and air conditioning technologies.

Heat Exchanger Manufacturer ThermoKey Reorganizes its Shareholding
With the support of LGT Capital Partners and BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments as co-investors, IGI Private Equity acquires, from Berrier Capital, control of ThermoKey (c. €60 million of revenue in 2023, Friuli-Venezia Giulia / ITA), a company that manufactures a range of high quality heat exchangers for commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The company’s current CEO retains his position and remains a 5% minority shareholder.

Abenex Capital announces a partnership with Only (Utrecht / NLD), a full-service digital marketing network, supporting organizations to grow through strategy, technology and creativity. This is Abenex’s first investment in the Netherlands, aiming to support Only’s expansion across Europe.

Kymera International Acquires Silicon Carbide Manufacturer Fiven
Backed by Palladium Equity Partners, Kymera International (North Carolina / USA), a developer and manufacturer of fine metal powders, advanced specialty materials and high-performance surface coatings, acquires Fiven (€151.4 million of revenue in 2023, Southern Norway / NOR), a producer of silicon carbide (SiC) and boron carbide grains and powders used in technical ceramics, refractories and abrasives. The acquisition was made from OpenGate Capital, which acquired Fiven in 2019. By acquiring Fiven, Kymera accelerates its growth, consolidates its market presence and expands its customer base, particularly in Europe, South America and North America.
