Backed by ECI Partners, Commify (c. £57.1 million of revenue in 2023, East Midlands / ENG), an enterprise messaging services company developing a platform that provides short message solutions as well as electronic and multi-channel voice services to SMEs, announces the acquisition of Text Request (c. $20 million of revenue in 2023, Tennessee / USA), a business messaging platform that enables companies to easily communicate with their customers via SMS thanks to features such as bulk messaging, automatic replies and contact management. This acquisition is part of Commify’s strategy to accelerate its inorganic growth and expansion in the US market.

Verlinvest announces the acquisition of The Climbing Hangar (North West / ENG), a chain of indoor climbing centers specializing in bouldering, offering a friendly space to climb, train and socialize, with each site featuring cafés serving fresh food and drinks, as well as courses and community events organized for all levels. Blackford Capital Acquires Stove and Fireplace Products Distributor Empire Distributing

Blackford Capital announces the acquisition of Empire Distributing (New York / USA), a company specializing in the distribution of stove and fireplace products, offering a wide range of products, including fireplace accessories, wood stoves, gas fireplaces, as well as replacement parts and ventilation equipment. This transaction is part of Blackford Capital’s strategy to create a one-stop shop for outdoor products. Prior to this acquisition, Blackford’s portfolio already included the following three companies specializing in outdoor products: Starfire Direct (California / USA), a supplier of fireplaces and chimneys for residential and commercial installations; Artificial Turf Supply (Florida / USA), a manufacturer and supplier of artificial turf products for lawns, landscapes, gymnasiums and playgrounds; and LTD Online (California / USA), an e-commerce company that distributes through its online stores patio furniture such as outdoor wicker furniture, daybeds, dining sets, living room furniture, bedroom furniture, etc.

Siparex Sells Part of its Stake in Texelis

Siparex announces the partial sale of its minority stake in Texelis (€112 million of revenue in 2023, Nouvelle-Aquitaine / FRA), a company specializing in the design, manufacture and maintenance of mobility systems for military vehicles, trains and buses, focusing on transmissions, axles and propulsion systems. The objective of this transaction is to generate added value while strengthening the company’s autonomy and paving the way for its future growth. As a reminder, Texelis is also supported by a pool of investors, including Crédit Agricole Régions Investissement, IRDI Capital Investissement, Bpifrance and Ouest Croissance.
