Majority-owned by Equistone Partners Europe, TIMETOACT GROUP (€320 million of revenue in 2023, North Rhine-Westphalia / DEU), a provider of IT consulting as well as a wide range of IT services such as cloud transformation, data engineering, custom application development and much more, acquires JOIN(+) (Bade-Wurtemberg / DEU), an IT consulting firm specializing in Big Data and AI. The acquisition will strengthen the group’s service portfolio, allowing it to expand its expertise in the field of data analytics and AI, while increasing its presence in the DACH region. JOIN(+)’s managers, Erich Anhut and Jürgen Lutz, will continue to lead the company to facilitate its integration into TIMETOACT GROUP.

Acquisition: Pharmaceutical Company, Aqemia, Raises $38 Million

Cathay Capital, through Cathay Innovation, invests in Aqemia (Île-de-France / FRA), a next-generation pharmaceutical company that uses quantum physics and generative AI to generate a pipeline that transforms and extends the drug discovery process, enabling the rapid development of innovative new drug candidates for severe diseases. The investment was made as part of a $38 million round of financing, in which historical investors Wendel, Bpifrance Large Venture, Eurazeo and Elaia Partners also participated. With this new financing, Aqemia will be able to move on to the clinical trials stage for its drug candidates.

Exit: Antea Participaties Sells Electrical Installation Maintenance Company Gouweloos

Majority shareholder since 2021, Antea Participaties announces the sale of Gouweloos (South Holland / NLD), a provider of installation, maintenance and management services for electrical installations, which has been acquired by VDK Groep (Overijssel / NLD), a company owned by EMK Capital that specializes in installation, painting, finishing and project design work. This sale illustrates Antea’s strategic approach of investing in promising companies and optimizing their value before selling them.

Fundraising: Gyrus Capital Raises €600 Million for its Continuation Fund

Gyrus Capital announces that it has raised €600 million for its continuation fund, dedicated to continuing its investment in Essential Pharma (£18.8 million of revenue in 2023, South-East / ENG), a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the production of generic drugs for disorders related to neurology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, dermatology, gynecology, as well as infectious and respiratory diseases. This transaction will strengthen Essential Pharma’s ability to provide essential medicines to patients, and extend its reach into the field of rare diseases. As a reminder, Gyrus Capital acquired the company in 2020. Note that Essential Pharma is also supported by Headway Capital and Connection Capital.
