Backed by Apax Partners and The Carlyle Group, PIB Group (£463 million of revenue in 2023, East Midlands / ENG), an insurance brokerage company offering a range of services including commercial insurance, risk management and employee benefits, with a focus on tailor-made solutions and strong client relationships, announces the acquisition of Elleti Broker (Lazio / ITA), a company specializing in insurance brokerage, particularly in the field of sureties and guarantees. With this acquisition, PIB strengthens its position in Italy, a strategic market in Europe, while enriching its service offering. Elleti Broker will retain its name and continue to provide its local know-how, while benefiting from the support and strength of PIB Group. This transaction demonstrates PIB’s commitment to growth through targeted acquisitions.

Add-on: Cybersecurity Platform Deepwatch Acquires Dassana

Backed by ABS Capital Partners, Vista Equity Partners and Goldman Sachs Growth, Deepwatch ($111 million of revenue in 2023, Florida / USA), a company specializing in the development of cybersecurity software, has acquired Dassana (California / USA), a cybersecurity platform that simplifies and automates the most burdensome security tasks, including manual evidence collection for compliance and the provision of real-time metrics. The Deepwatch platform, now enriched with Dassana technology, will enable Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) to optimize their security posture through in-depth analysis and effective threat prioritization. Together, Deepwatch and Dassana will strengthen global cybersecurity by offering accessible and adapted solutions, even for smaller organizations.

Acquisition: Genesis Capital Invests in Household Appliance Distributor NAY-DATART

Genesis Capital, through its Genesis Private Equity Fund IV, invests as a minority shareholder in NAY-DATART (South Moravia / CZE), a retailer of consumer electronics and household appliances. This investment is intended to support the development of the group created by the merger in 2024 of Nay (Bratislava / SVK) with HP Tronic (c. CZK21 billion of revenue in 2023, South Moravia / CZE). RSJ Investment also participated as a co-investor in this transaction, which aims to accelerate the company’s growth, with the possibility of a future IPO.

EG 427 (Île-de-France / FRA), a biotechnology company developing next-generation precision molecular therapies to treat serious chronic diseases, has completed a €27 million Series B fundraising, led by Andera Partners and Bpifrance, with the participation of SCI Ventures and several historical investors, mainly American family offices. This investment will be used to carry out EG 427’s clinical trials, in particular its neuro-urology research program, EG110A.
