Weinberg Capital Partners announces the acquisition of a majority stake in Magellium Artal (€32.5 million of revenue in 2023, Occitanie / FRA), an engineering group specializing in space observation, geo-information, IT technologies and image processing, which offers services and expertise in the fields of Earth observation and space surveillance, digital geography, artificial vision and software and systems engineering. Weinberg was supported by minority investors IDIA Capital Investissement and the Definvest fund managed by Bpifrance. Existing shareholder iXO Private Equity, on the other hand, has sold its minority stake acquired in 2020. Thanks to the strategic support of Weinberg Capital, the group aims to strengthen its position in its historical markets while seeking to establish itself in new markets and attract new clients.

Exit: Cinven Sells Life Insurance Management Group Viridium Gruppe
Majority shareholder since 2014, Cinven announces the sale of Viridium Gruppe (€3 billion in revenue in 2023, Hesse / DEU), a group specializing in the management of run-off life insurance portfolios that acquires and manages closed insurance portfolios, by focusing on operational efficiency, risk management, and regulatory compliance. For €3.5 billion, the group was acquired by a group of investors consisting of Allianz, BlackRock, T&D Holdings, Hannover Re, and Generali Financial Holdings. With Cinven’s support, Viridium invested over €700 million in a state-of-the-art technology platform, boosting its efficiency and capacity for expansion. The company has also optimized asset management to improve returns for its customers, while strengthening customer service and introducing robust governance under the leadership of an experienced team. This acquisition will enable Viridium to pursue its development and expand its range of innovative life insurance solutions.

Exit: EQT Partners Sells Train Coupling Systems Manufacturer Dellner Couplers
EQT Partners announces the sale of its majority stake acquired in 2019 in Dellner Couplers (Dalarna / SWE), a company specializing in the design and manufacture of complete train coupling systems, offering a wide range of automatic, semi-permanent and manual couplers, as well as energy absorption systems, traction boxes, and shock management devices. For approximately €890 million, the company was sold to Wabtec Corporation ($9.6 billion of revenue in 2023, Pennsylvania / USA), a company operating in the rail freight, transport, mining, industrial and maritime sectors, which provides equipment, systems, digital solutions and services, while developing innovative technologies such as battery-electric locomotives, low-emission braking systems and port optimization software. During its partnership with EQT Partners, Dellner Couplers has seen a significant strengthening of its business structure and a notable improvement in its product offering and has intensified its sustainability efforts by raising its environmental standards at all levels of its operations and supply chain.
