Thermo Fisher Scientific acquires the technology services provider for the healthcare sector Clario

Thermo Fisher Scientific (Massachusetts / USA), a company that develops and provides a wide range of laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, reagents, consumables, and software for research, diagnostics, and industrial applications, while offering solutions for gene therapy, biobanking, scientific analysis as well as associated financial and leasing services, acquires Clario (€1.2 billion of revenue in 2024, Pennsylvania / USA), a group that offers services and technological solutions as well as data analysis services to assist contract research organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and biotechnology companies in conducting their clinical trials. This transaction marked the exit of Clario’s former shareholders, namely Astorg, Nordic Capital, Novo Holdings, and Cinven. Nordic Capital announces the acquisition of a majority stake in BMLL (London / ENG), a company that converts raw market data into harmonized and comprehensive historical datasets, with nanosecond timestamps and detailed market state information for stocks, ETFs, futures, and options globally, which it provides at different levels of granularity via APIs, the cloud, and integrated research platforms, thus facilitating direct access and workflow integration for quantitative research and market analysis. Held by Borromin Capital Management, Protect Medical (€38.6 million of revenue in 2021, Hesse / DEU), a holding company that groups together companies manufacturing and supplying products for wound care, first aid, and emergency medicine, acquires CA-MI (€17 million of revenue in 2024, Emilia-Romagna / ITA), a company that manufactures a complete range of electromedical devices for respiratory therapy, suction, diagnosis, rehabilitation, infant care, and general well-being, providing certified products suitable for both home care and professional medical use. Francisco Partners acquires the Apple ecosystem management and security platform for businesses Jamf

Francisco Partners has acquired a majority stake in Jamf ($627 million of revenue in 2024, Minnesota, USA), a management and security platform for the Apple ecosystem (Mac, iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, etc.) for businesses. For a total of approximately $2.2 billion in cash, Francisco Partners acquired all outstanding shares of Jamf at a price of $13.05 per share. Vista Equity Partners, which holds approximately 34% of the shares, will exit the company upon completion of the transaction. This transaction will allow Jamf to become a private company, accelerating its growth through greater financial flexibility and improved strategic alignment, while maintaining its name and headquarters (Francisco Partners press release)
