Owned by Gimv, Metis Group (Variass, AME, A1 Electronics) (c. €130 million of revenue in 2023, North Brabant / NLD), a group specializing in the development, manufacturing and lifecycle management of electronic products for various industrial sectors, acquires a majority stake in EPAC (Limburg / NLD), a contract manufacturer of electronic products specializing in the assembly of printed circuit boards, cables and modules, with expertise in small and medium-sized series, prototyping and high-mix production. This transaction is part of Metis Group’s buy-and-build strategy and aims to strengthen its flexible production and prototyping capabilities while expanding its offering in the energy, industrial, agricultural and defense markets. Deutsche Private Equity announces the acquisition of a majority stake in FOGTEC Brandschutz (c. €35 million of revenue in 2025, North Rhine-Westphalia / DEU), a fire protection company that develops and supplies high-pressure water mist fire detection and extinguishing systems, intended particularly for buildings, data centers, railway infrastructure, tunnels, industrial facilities, and energy storage systems. As part of the transaction, the company’s shareholder since 2021, M Cap Finance, has sold its stake, while the founding shareholders and the management team reinvest and remain significantly involved in the company’s development. The debt financing for the transaction is provided by Ares. The company has been acquired by MARI Group (California / USA), an agency that develops and manages a diversified portfolio of live events and brands covering the sports, entertainment, art, and lifestyle sectors. This transaction ends a 13-year partnership during which Providence, alongside Blackstone, supported the company’s international expansion, strengthened its portfolio through acquisitions, and invested in its iconic venues.
